John has been in full-time ministry for 30 years. His most recent ministry experience has been as the Associate Director of Missions for the Calhoun Baptist Association in North Alabama. John has a passion for missions, outreach, and teaching. He has served a number of years as a facilitator/trainer in the areas of Sunday School, Family Ministries, Senior Adults, and Vacation Bible School. His vision as DOM is for the Association to be a catalyst and conduit to assist SABA churches for kingdom ministry.
John’s life verse is Ephesians 4:12 “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,”

In his off time, John enjoys technology, and anything adventurous.

John and his wife Cindy, who serves as minister of preschool/children at First Baptist Dothan, have been married for 42+ years. They have three children and three grandchildren.

Melanie assumed the role of Director of the SABA Ministry Center in October 2014. She came to the SABAMC in January 2004 as the Administrative Assistant/Assistant Director.

Melanie surrendered her life to full-time ministry service in 1994 and has never doubted that call on her life. She is a graduate of Baptist College of Florida. Some of her ministry experience includes Site Director for M-Fuge for six years, as well as part-time youth minister at churches in Alabama and Tennessee.

Her favorite Bible passage is Romans 12:10-11 - "Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord."

Melanie loves being a wife to John, and mom to John Parker and Danielle. In her spare time, she enjoys hunting, fishing, decorating cakes, and NASCAR.

Judy serves as Church Relations Specialist and also the Administrative Assistant to the DOM.  Judy served from 2003-2006 and has been part of the SABA team again since 2012. One of her favorite areas of responsibility is to serve the ministry assistants, clerks, and the church. Her experience includes church financial ministry assistant, as well as school administrative assistant and bookkeeper. Judy has also served several officer positions in the Alabama Association of Baptist Secretaries (AABS) and National Association of Ministry Assistants (NAMA).

Judy feels a calling to her position, as she serves the churches of the SABA.  She believes the work of the Association is important and wants to be part of something that will make a Kingdom difference.

She is married to Tim, and they have served in music ministry together for over 30 years in Georgia, Florida, and Alabama. They have two grown children that most importantly made Tim and Judy grandparents to two granddaughters and two grandsons.

One of her favorite verses is Colossians 3:23 - "Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people." In her time off, Judy enjoys sewing, quilting, rocking grandbabies, and spending time in the mountains.

Lisa joined the SABA Ministry Center in March of 2014. Before that, she served as part-time Ministry Assistant at Cloverdale Baptist Church in Dothan for seven years. She is also a former officer for the Alabama Association of Baptist Secretaries (AABS).

Lisa feels that her call is in the areas of encouragement and service. Since she began working at the SABAMC, she has become so much more aware of the need for ministry in our everyday lives! Her favorite Bible verse is Nahum 1:7 - "The LORD is good, a stronghold in a day of distress; He cares for those who take refuge in Him."

Lisa is an avid Florida State Seminole fan. She also drives a school bus for Rehobeth Schools. One of her favorite things to collect is old/antique hymnals. She is married to Harry, and they have two children, Matt and Breanna.

Monica joined the SABA team in late 2017 as the Financial Ministry Assistant for the Association and the Ministry Center. This was a new position created as we were entering into a new year with a new name.

Monica is married to Chuck Locke, who serves as the executive pastor of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, here in Dothan. They have been greatly blessed with three very hungry and fun sons who make sure she never runs out of dirty laundry or dishes to wash. With these guys, she also enjoys fishing, kayaking or just wandering down nature trails in the great outdoors.

Since she lives with all guys, Monica loves teaching a connection group on Sunday mornings for middle school girls and leading small group Bible studies for women. Staying in God’s word with other women since her days as a new believer on a college campus has been one of the greatest sources of encouragement, friendship and accountability in her life.  Also, her favorite saying is “keep it simple, sister!”

Monica came to know the Lord while a student at Auburn University in 1991.  It was then that Psalms 27:14 became the verse she would hold on to through all seasons of life, as she learned to Be strong and Wait on the Lord. Email her at monica@sabachurches.com

Mallory joined SABA as the "token millennial" in January of 2018. She also serves as the multimedia producer for Southside Baptist, where she attends.

She has always felt the pull to serve people for the Kingdom, ranging from teaching Sunday school for high school girls, serving as a track leader for WIRED Ministries, to volunteering for Vacation Bible School.

Her favorite verse passage is Lamentations 3:22 - 23, "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

In her spare time, she loves to nerd out and plays all types of games with her family & friends, read, spend time with 9 nieces and nephews, and continue pursuing photography.
